"Mosaic Mountain" - Based on Early Learner interest in fusing glass and copper combined with their joy for mosaic work, we curated a piece for the auction that re?ects so much of their important work from this year. We chose to mosaic a wooden silhouette of the Boise Foothills using copper pennies that Early Learners enameled. Amy Skoro Booth and her husband, Jason, cut and stained the background pieces. Early Learners used hammers and an anvil to stamp their initials into pennies that were collected and out of circulation. Next, Delia and other family volunteers came into the classroom to support Early Learners in fusing glass with the copper pennies.
